چکیده

Abstract Aiming at biomedical applications, the present work developed a new bio‐nanocomposite fibrous mat based on natural rubber (NR) reinforced with 45S5 bioglass particles (BG) and cellulose nanowhiskers (CNW), which reveals excellent mechanical properties, good biocompatibility bioactivity properties. Analyses of specimens were conducted by means morphological observations (SEM) thermal analysis (TG/DTG), as well tests used to verify effect incorporation BG CNW ultimate properties these flexible NR‐CWN/BG membranes. An SEM revealed that all filaments possessed ribbon‐like morphology, increasing diameters concentration increased. This likely results from an increased viscosity solution for fiber blowing. In comparison neat NR mats, bio‐nanocomposites significantly improved due presence dispersed in matrix. According TG/DTG analysis, specimens' stability was unaffected high content, profiles similar, isoprene chains decomposition occurring between 350 450°C. In‐vitro fibroblasts confirmed mats are noncytotoxic. It found enhanced cellular growth hold great promise tissue engineering applications.

Mechanical and thermal properties of bacterial-cellulose-fibre-reinforced Mater-Bi® bionanocomposite

The effects of the addition of fibres of bacterial cellulose (FBC) to commercial starch of Mater-Bi(®) have been investigated. FBC produced by cultivating Acetobacter xylinum for 21 days in glucose-based medium were purified by sodium hydroxide 2.5 wt % and sodium hypochlorite 2.5 wt % overnight, consecutively. To obtain water-free BC nanofibres, the pellicles were freeze dried at a pressure of...

Microchip-based 3D-Cell Culture Using Polymer Nanofibers Generated by Solution Blow Spinning.

Polymer nano/micro fibers have found many applications including 3D cell culture and the creation of wound dressings. The fibers can be produced by a variety of techniques that include electrospinning, the primary disadvantage of which include the requirement for a high voltage supply (which may cause issues such as polymer denaturation) and lack of portability. More recently, solution blow spi...

Preparation of Fish Skin Gelatin-Based Nanofibers Incorporating Cinnamaldehyde by Solution Blow Spinning

Cinnamaldehyde, a natural preservative that can non-specifically deactivate foodborne pathogens, was successfully incorporated into fish skin gelatin (FSG) solutions and blow spun into uniform nanofibers. The effects of cinnamaldehyde ratios (5-30%, w/w FSG) on physicochemical properties of fiber-forming emulsions (FFEs) and their nanofibers were investigated. Higher ratios resulted in higher v...
